The Road to 1600: A Training Plan for Intermediate Chess Players

Like many others stuck inside during the COVID-19 pandemic (and maybe because they watched the Queen’s Gambit), I picked up chess again after having not played it for many years. For the last seven months, I’ve finally raised my daily (correspondence) level on chess.com to be about where I was when I first joined the site years ago (unfortunately when I stopped playing years ago, I abandoned games that affected my rating).

Currently, I’m an low-rated intermediate player with a rating around 1400. My current goal is to reach 1600 and below is my training plan. It consists of playing games and studying topics that should level up my game in multiple areas.

I hope this chess training plan can help others in the same place I am. If you have any other ideas or suggestions, let me know!
